QuikWater Demo Information
I. General
All QuikWater products and by extension, the
demonstration software you have requested are designed to operate on all 32 bit
Microsoft Windows® operating systems. Since 32 bit applications are also
compatible with the 64 bit versions of Windows, and they will also work on the
newer Windows Vista® operating systems as well. If you encounter any installation issues with
the Demo CD, please temporarily disable firewalls/scanners that may be blocking
the normal setup.exe file from running correctly on your system first, if still
unable to run the CD, feel free to call us at 1-866-238-7771 for assistance.
The demo software will attempt to
write to your computer Windows registry for the installation of the report
generator ODBC drivers. If you are set up without registry entry/edit/create
privileges, the demo will install and run just fine, but you will not be able
to use the report editor/generator and therefore not be able to print the
reports included in the demonstration package. In this case, have an
administrator of the machine install the software package, and start the
QuikWater program once so that these registry entries can be accomplished
II. Demo Data
The purpose of the demo software
from TAK Technology, Inc. is to quickly familiarize you with the features and
reports of the QuikWater product you have selected to review. Data has already
been entered and processed so that the graphs and reports will display for you.
The software provided in the demo form is a full working copy of the program,
but limited as to how many customers can reside in the customer master file. Note
that the terminology used in this document may vary slightly amount the
different versions of the QuikWater product.
You are welcome to change the customer master file and
rate setups to suit your needs and look at the bill calculation capabilities of
the software. Note also that the software has many built in help features
including an on screen MS-Word formatted user manual (CD demo) that you may
print/peruse. Please take a moment to review the help settings included in all
QuikWater products:
